Supervisor, Maintenance (Ps)
About this role
- Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools, and standards.
- Execute the “Planning” element of the process for all types of work orders, systematic and non-systematic maintenance, which includes shutdown (PMP) and external resource-related work.
- Manage backlog to ensure work orders are planned with emphasis on safety and based on priority and required end date. Ensure work order users' statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order.
- Coordinate and facilitate with the Scheduler to ensure all required planning/scheduling routines are followed.
- Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets. Work within assigned budgets and escalate to management should a budget be exceeded.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the “work schedule” for completion by the Required End Date.
- Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other planners, schedulers, and crew members.
- Perform relief supervisor duties as required which requires holding the crew accountable for safe behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism; and work with the team to develop an interactive workplace environment.
- Project planning and facilitation on process improvements.
- Commissioning new facilities and helping create MST’s to turn over to the plant.

- Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required.
- The ideal candidate will have a College Diploma or University Degree in a related industrial field or a University Degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141), First Line Underground Mine Supervisor Common Core (770121), or Common Core for First Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining (770120) is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience as a Planner/ Scheduler.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising and leading teams with best work practices.
- Experience as a millwright in a mining plant or heavy industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, SAP, and Prometheus add-on.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
- Must demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work
