Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Under minimal supervision performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
  • Informs the site lead of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand.
  • Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
  • Records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSite.
  • Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location.
  • Sets up and tests TADSS devices to confirm they work as expected, including interoperability and operation verification.
  • Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail.
  • Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability.
  • Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS to support training events and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Desired Experience:

  • Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP under minimal supervision, using technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when checklists are not available.
  • Installs, modifies, and applies upgrade kits in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • Sets up and tests TADSS to verify proper operation, including interoperability checks and functional verification.
  • Informs the site lead of maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including when personnel must travel for maintenance or to support increased demand.
  • Ensures maintenance activities are deconflicted with training, exercises, and testing schedules.
  • Records all maintenance activities in real time in the Management Information System (MIS).
  • Tracks warranty status for maintained items by part number, serial number, and location, ensuring adherence to warranty terms.
  • Monitors hardware baselines and reverts to previous versions when updates fail.
  • Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, and manages obsolescence.
  • Implements risk management strategies and conducts failure analysis to reduce risk and improve system reliability.

 

Degree(s)/Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree and 1+ year of relevant experience, or
  • Associate degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or
  • No degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Basic Electronic Technical Certificate (preferred)
