Job Function

Position: Cashier

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Answer telephone, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, provide information to callers.
  •  Greet persons entering and direct to correct destination.
  •  Receive and sort mail deliveries.
  •  Monitor and maintain office equipment.
  •  Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the
  • repair order and/or counter ticket.
  •  Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
  •  Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders and verify against all cash, checks and
  • credit card payments on hand at end of shift.
  •  Refer customers who have additional questions (e.g. questions about their repair order) to the service
  • advisor or other appropriate individual.
  •  Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the complaining customer to the
  • appropriate individual for further communication.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  •  Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents
  • to a manager or supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  •  Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  •  Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.
  •  Precise accuracy with money counting.
  •  Requires office skills including personal computer, 10-key and the ability to operate other office
  • equipment machines (copier, credit card machine, telephone, and adding machine) necessary to
  • perform the cashiering/clerical duties.
  •  Requires demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word for Windows, Excel and Outlook).
  •  Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and
  • multitasking skills.
  •  “A positive attitude with impeccable interpersonal skills”.
  •  Flexibility is required will be require to work varied work schedules, weekends, and shortened or
  • lengthened work shifts.

Physical Demands:

  •  Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
  •  Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, twisting and kneeling to perform job functions.

Our service departments feature 98 full-service bays across 8 of our 11 locations, with state-of-the-art sand blasting and paint booths at our Houston Blaffer and San Antonio facilities. We understand the importance of limiting your downtime and are committed to providing superior service to every customer.
