Multimodal Planning Team Lead
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking a skilled Multimodal Planning Team Lead to help build a more connected, sustainable, and accessible future for Utah’s communities. As a member of the Planning Division, you will collaborate with partners statewide to help plan for active transportation and transit projects that improve quality of life.

FT/PT Status: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
- Promoting and facilitating the increased use of nonmotorized modes of transportation.
- Supervising members of UDOT’s Multimodal Planning team.
- Working with local communities, MPOs, AOGs and other organizations to plan for future active transportation and transit facilities.
- Coordinating with UDOT regions in active transportation and transit long-range planning.
- Serving as a UDOT representative on assigned committees to provide input throughout planning processes.
- Maintaining statewide active transportation and transit data and supporting efforts to unify data across partner agencies.
- Coordinating planning efforts with other UDOT divisions.
- Providing technical guidance to UDOT efforts related to active transportation and transit planning and data.
What You’ll Bring
- A bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field as well as six (6) years of related experience, Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with active transportation and/or transit planning.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience with ArcGIS and/or other GIS software.
- Ability to analyze and work with active transportation datasets.
