Summary
Sunoco LP is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the fast growing Midstream Operational Accounting team! Sunoco LP is one of America's largest and most efficient terminalling and storage providers. This individual will perform a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to:
- Assist with financial analysis of Sunoco LP midstream terminal locations, including inventory, margin and operating expenses
- Work with internal and external customers to research accounting variances, disputes and complex transactions
- Assist with purchase accounting and integration efforts on Sunoco mergers and acquisitions
- Compiling and preparing of intermediate to high level/technical journal entries to general ledger accounts
- Assist management with ad hoc projects and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls
- Apply the financial policies and procedures of the organization and inform management of inconsistencies and problems.
- Performs audit tasks, as well as various duties and projects assigned by management
- Serves customers by maintaining our philosophy of going above and beyond, supported by a value proposition that every situation will be handled in a timely manner

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience.
- Prior fuel inventory and general ledger accounting experience preferred
- Strong experience in SAP S/4 FIORI/Winshuttle.
- Experience working with Right Angle preferred
- IFRS and US GAAP preferred
- Strong analytic and data analysis skills required, especially MS Excel.
- Must display good judgment and be able to work independently, as needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be flexible, adaptable and have a high level of initiative.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%25 of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
