Job Description
The Data Analyst supports business and enterprise analytics needs by collecting, cleaning, validating, analyzing, and presenting data from multiple sources. This role develops reports and dashboards, performs analysis to identify trends and patterns, flags data quality issues, and delivers clear insights that help business partners make informed, data-driven decisions. The role works closely with senior analysts, business stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure analytical outputs are accurate, timely, well documented, and aligned with enterprise data standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, transform, and organize data from multiple sources.
- Write SQL queries and use BI/reporting tools to extract and summarize data.
- Build recurring reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Perform basic statistical and trend analysis to answer business questions.
- Identify data quality issues and support validation, reconciliation, and remediation activities.
- Document data sources, processes, business rules, and reporting logic.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to understand requirements.
- Present findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Support larger analytics initiatives led by senior analysts or analytics leaders.
- Follow company standards for data handling, security, compliance, and governance.
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of statistical, reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics experience.
- Foundational SQL skills and experience working with structured data.
- Experience with Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic understanding of statistics, data visualization, and data quality concepts.
- Introductory Python or R preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Shift Timings - 11 AM - 8 PM.
Location - Chennai.
