Job Description

The Data Analyst leads complex analytical work from problem definition through insight delivery. This role translates business needs into analytical approaches, builds and maintains complex data models and dashboards, applies advanced analytical techniques, and presents recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. The Senior Data Analyst also mentors junior analysts, reviews analytical outputs, partners with engineering and product teams on data design decisions, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve business outcomes through data.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end analysis, including problem framing, data sourcing, methodology, validation, and insight delivery.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into analytical frameworks, KPIs, metrics, and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Build and maintain complex datasets, data models, dashboards, and analytical pipelines.
  • Apply advanced methods such as regression, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation/A-B testing, and predictive analytics where appropriate.
  • Partner with business, engineering, product, and governance teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership.
  • Mentor junior analysts and review analysis, SQL, dashboards, documentation, and quality checks.
  • Define and improve analytical standards, reusable reporting patterns, and documentation practices.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, risks, and performance improvement areas through data.
  • Ensure analytical work is accurate, explainable, secure, governed, and aligned to enterprise standards.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information systems, business analytics, finance, economics, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of data analytics, BI, statistical analysis, or related experience; 6-8 years may be appropriate for higher-grade or more senior enterprise roles.
  • Advanced SQL and strong experience with Python or R.
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau and modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, experimentation design, forecasting, data modeling, and data quality practices.
  • Experience translating business needs into metrics, dashboards, analytical products, and executive-ready insights.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills.
