Position Summary

The College of Education and Human Sciences (COEHS) invites applicants for its Unit Administrator I position.  This position provides overall administrative support to the Data Team, the OUTCOMES Center, the Director of Assessment and Accreditation and the Director of OUTCOMES. 

The COEHS Data Team provides data and support for state and federal reporting, student assessment, and program accreditation. The OUTCOMES Center is a new unit that will support faculty and internal and external stakeholders with research initiatives, focusing on using research and data to inform practical education policy and practice in New Mexico.  The Data Team and the OUTCOMES Center work closely together.

The Unit Administrator filling this position will support the needs of the COEHS Data Team and the Outcomes Center with organizational and administrative tasks, as well as providing primary support for the Student Learning & Licensure software.

The Unit Administrator will complete a broad range of duties including, but not limited to:

  • Managing an educational assessment platform and fielding support questions from users
  • Data cleaning, organization, analysis, and reporting
  • Creating and managing research budgets
  • Organizing and coordinating meetings, travel, and special events, including related fiscal tasks

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data cleaning, organization, analysis, reporting
  • Experience working with an educational assessment platform or similar data system
  • Experience supporting students, faculty, staff, and other users of educational systems
  • Experience with education, teacher preparation, accreditation
  • Experience communicating through a variety of methods with a wide range of audiences
  • Experience creating and managing budgets
