| Position Summary | The University of New Mexico-Valencia is accepting applicants for the position of Sr Fiscal Services Tech to join our Business Operations Department. This position is responsible for purchasing for multiple departments, establishing/maintaining departmental budgets and monitoring expenditures, preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with policies, grants, and State and Federal regulations, maintaining departmental inventory records and coordinating physical inventory, and managing employee access to facilities by processing key card requests. This position also serves as backup for timekeeping, processing adjustments, preparing financial reports and other accounting related duties and may supervise and/or lead lower graded staff and/or student employees. Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, career and technical programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve a student body of over 2,000 students per semester. | Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
