The University of Maryland Division of Urology Seeks a Reconstructive Surgeon

The Division of Urology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a BC/BE urologist interested in reconstructive urology. Applicants should be qualified to be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Responsibilities will include clinical care of urology patients, education of students and residents and participation in research programs. Practice opportunities are available at the University of Maryland Medical Center, University of Maryland Midtown Campus, Veterans’ Affairs Maryland Health Care System (Baltimore) and other system locations to be determined. Opportunities for basic and clinical research are available for interested candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training in genitourinary reconstructive surgery.

• Patient Diversity – Manage a high volume of patients with urinary incontinence, urethral strictures, ureteral strictures, as well as patients who need post radiation or post traumatic injury reconstruction.

• Receive academic rank at Assistant or Associate Professor with a schedule to support research, teaching, and clinical work.

Salary Range: $312,805 - $590,430

The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.  This salary range does not include all components of the DEPARTMENTAL faculty compensation program or pay from participation in DEPARTMENTAL variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department.

 The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
