University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking a highly creative and visually driven Digital Content Coordinator to support the development of engaging, multimedia content across digital platforms. This part-time, contract-based role is ideal for a content creator with strong graphic design, video production, and visual storytelling skills who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Visual Content Creation and Design: Create high-quality graphics, short-form videos, and multimedia assets for social media, email, web, and internal channels, ensuring alignment with UMGC’s brand standards and strong audience engagement.
Video Production and Multimedia Editing: Concept, shoot, and edit compelling video content, optimized for digital platforms and tailored to different audiences and channels.
Content Coordination and Platform Execution: Manage visual assets within the editorial calendar, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare content for publishing across platforms including social media and web. May also support or be cross-trained on basic community management functions, including monitoring and responding to engagement through tools such as Sprout Social.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Experience
3–5 years of Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field required
Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, video production, and digital content creation for web, email, and social media platforms.
Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools.
Familiarity with Sprout Social or comparable social media scheduling and analytics tools.
Basic working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar web content management system (CMS).
Ability to perform basic photo and video editing.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

Benefits Package Highlights:
- Time Off: C1s that regularly work over 12 hours per week are eligible for limited sick and safe leave at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum accrual of 40 hours in a calendar year.
