General Summary of Position:

The School of Education Operations & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for key university and college strategic initiatives while coordinating the School's day-to-day administrative operations. The position serves as the School's primary coordinator for budgets, communications, events, faculty support, grant support, and operational support for strategic initiatives, including Gateway Cities, UTeach, paraeducator pathways, and the Center for Educational Partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience performing duties related to budget management, communications, and faculty and student support in an academic department of comparable size and complexity as the SOE
    *will consider candidates with HS Diploma or GED/equivalent and 10 years of directly related experience
  • Demonstrated experience with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, database systems.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or comparable administrative management systems

Additional Considerations:

  • Masters degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse array of administrative challenges and consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

This position is full-time, benefited and in the SEIU professional union in grade P17.  Anticipated salary range based on qualifications with formal minimum: $65,693, 25th quartile of $74,725 and midpoint of $84,758.
