Masters in Public Health Teaching Fellow

 

Grade UE07: £41,064 - £48,822 per annum

College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / Edinburgh Medical School 

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: 24 months 
 

 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Teaching Fellow to deliver and assess courses on the on-campus Masters in Public Health.

This is a fixed-term contract. This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). The post holder will be expected to spend at least 3 full days a week at the Usher Building. 

The Teaching Fellow will sit within Edinburgh Medical School, but day to day the post will be directed by the Programme Director.

Responsibilities include the role of Course Organiser and Course Tutor for selected courses (including preparation and delivery of content and marking of assignments), supervision and assessment of dissertation students on the aforementioned programme, student support, contribution to the academic administration of the programme and assisting in course and programme development.

Applicants must have:

• A higher degree and teaching experience in Higher Education in a programme-related discipline.
• Subject knowledge in core programme-related areas in order to provide both specialised and generalist input across the MPH curriculum.
• Demonstrable on-campus experience of teaching in Higher Education in a relevant subject at Master's level, and experience of supervising Masters Dissertation students.
• Experience in using virtual learning environment such as Blackboard Learn, and digital communication tools is desirable.
