Staff Product Designer — Product UX & Strategy

Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help define the future of AI-native software interfaces in real estate.

At Uniti, customers use our platform to configure, monitor, and operate AI agents across voice, chat, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. We also build real-time web chat experiences where end users interact directly with these agents.

You’ll design across both sides of the product:

• The operational platform used by teams running our AI agents

• The end-user experiences where people interact with AI directly

This role is centered on product discovery, user journeys, interaction design, complex workflows, usability, and interface innovation. You’ll help us understand the right problems to solve and determine how those solutions should work.

The interaction patterns for AI-native and agentic software are still evolving. We’re looking for someone who can help shape what great AI experiences look and feel like over the next several years.

You should care deeply about clarity, speed, trust, usability, and creating workflows that feel intuitive despite the complexity underneath.

You’ll work closely with founders, engineers, customer teams, and customers to understand real-world workflows, explore new ideas, and continuously improve the product experience.

What you’ll do

• Lead product discovery and help define which user problems we should solve and how we should solve them

• Design core workflows across the Uniti platform

• Map complex, cross-channel user journeys and turn them into coherent product experiences

• Improve the experience of agent configuration, reporting, monitoring, analytics, and operational tooling

• Design intuitive AI interaction experiences for our web chat products

• Help define new interaction patterns for AI-native and agentic software

• Turn ambiguous ideas and complex requirements into clear product concepts

• Conduct customer interviews, workflow observations, concept validation, and usability testing

• Translate research and customer feedback into product decisions

• Explore multiple approaches and test assumptions through journey maps, workflow models, prototypes, and other appropriate methods

• Define success criteria and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to evaluate design decisions

• Work closely with engineering throughout implementation to preserve the intent and quality of the experience

• Stay current with emerging AI capabilities, interface patterns, and changing user expectations

• Contribute meaningfully to product strategy, prioritization, and roadmap discussions

• Establish reusable interaction principles and patterns across the Uniti product ecosystem

• Continuously improve product consistency, usability, and overall quality

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of experience designing digital products

• Strong experience designing SaaS products, operational software, or other complex systems

• Excellent product intuition and UX judgment

• Strong product discovery, user research, and usability-testing skills

• Systems thinking and experience designing complex, multi-step workflows

• Ability to understand customer requests and uncover the underlying user problems

• Ability to frame ambiguous problems and influence product direction

• Ability to simplify complex systems without removing important functionality or context

• Strong interaction and visual design skills

• Strong command of Figma and modern prototyping tools

• Ability to use evidence and feedback to evaluate and iterate on design decisions

• Comfortable speaking directly with customers and observing how they work

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Comfortable operating with significant ownership in a fast-moving startup environment

• Deep curiosity about AI products and the future of software interfaces

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-native, conversational, or agentic products

• Experience with analytics, monitoring, configuration, or operational tooling

• Frontend knowledge, particularly HTML, CSS, or React

• Ability to prototype interactions beyond static mockups

• Experience working closely with engineering teams from discovery through implementation

• Experience using AI tools for research, prototyping, and iteration

• Experience working in an early-stage or rapidly growing startup

Additional context

This role is primarily focused on product and UX design. You’ll spend most of your time understanding user needs, shaping workflows, and defining the experience of our core platform and AI interaction surfaces.

This is a hands-on role with significant influence over broader product and design direction. We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between customer conversations, product strategy, interaction design, prototyping, and implementation.
