Primary Responsibilities

 Serve as the on-air or on-camera presenter for news, interview, and feature programming, delivering content in a clear, engaging, and professional manner.

 Conduct interviews with newsmakers, subject matter experts, community leaders, and other guests to inform and engage audiences.

 Research topics, review background materials, and prepare for interviews and program segments to ensure accurate and informed discussions.

 Collaborate with producers, editors, and reporters to develop segment concepts, interview questions, and program content.

 Present breaking news, feature stories, and special coverage while adapting to developing information and changing production needs.

 Facilitate discussions and moderate interviews in a manner that reflects journalistic standards of fairness, accuracy, and professionalism.

 Review scripts and other production materials, providing input to improve clarity, audience engagement, and editorial quality.

 When requested, represent the organization in public-facing roles, including community events, special broadcasts, and audience engagement initiatives.

 Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his/her assigned stories

 Participates in the creation and development of live or pretaped regularly scheduled or special radio and/or TV programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned

 Voices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by others

 Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned

 As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories

 Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into Spanish, as assigned

 Versions content produced in native language into Spanish for distribution, as assigned

 Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed

 Meets OCB standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines

 Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements

 Works independently or as a member of a team

 Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned

 Other related duties as assigned
