Provides professional hair styling and makeup services for on-air talent, guests, and production personnel appearing in television, streaming, and multimedia productions. Ensures individuals are camera-ready and maintain a polished, professional appearance consistent with production requirements and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Apply makeup and style hair for anchors, reporters, hosts, guests, and other on-air personnel appearing in live and recorded broadcasts.
Assess lighting, camera requirements, and production needs to determine appropriate makeup and hairstyling techniques.
Perform touch-ups before and during broadcasts to maintain an on-camera professional appearance.
Collaborate with producers, directors, and talent to achieve the desired on-air look.
Asses talent wardrobe to assure compliance to network standards, make recommendations when required.
Adapt makeup and hairstyling approaches for various production formats, including news broadcasts, interviews, special events, and promotional productions.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of makeup stations, tools, and equipment.
Monitor appearance standards throughout productions and respond quickly to last-minute adjustments.
Maintain inventory of cosmetics, hair products, tools, and supplies; recommend replacements and replenishment as needed.
Stay current with industry trends, broadcast makeup techniques, and high-definition television requirements.
Ensure products and techniques are appropriate for diverse skin tones, hair types, and on-camera environments.
Follow workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
