As assigned, during programs, serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories included in broadcasts
Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned
Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned
Performs technical functions including operation of equipment, as assigned
Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed
Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
Serves as videographer/reporter, as assigned
Works independently or as a member of a team
Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned
Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties
Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOAs digital asset management system
Other related duties as assigned

This is not an announcement for a federal job. This position is for employment as a personal services contractor with VOA News. All personal service contractors must pass a thorough background check.
