Job DetailsJob Location: Office of Cuba Broadcasting - Doral, FL 33166Primary Responsibilities:
Edit, review, and publish digital content for broadcast, web, social media, and streaming platforms to ensure accuracy, clarity, and audience engagement.
Write, revise, and update news stories, feature content, and multimedia products in accordance with editorial standards and organizational priorities.
Coordinate with reporters, producers, and content creators to develop compelling digital content and ensure timely publication.
Manage content within digital publishing systems, including uploading text, images, video, and audio assets.
Monitor breaking news and industry developments, making timely edits and updates to digital content as needed.
Writes and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social media
Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned
Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned
As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories
Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned
Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned
Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned
Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static and motion graphics, as assigned
Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed
Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements
Works independently or as a member of a team
Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge of Cuba’s history and familiarity with U.S./Cuba relations
