AutoNation Honda of Clearwater - Service Drive Glass Advisor

The Service Drive Glass Associate is responsible for identifying windshield repair and glass replacement opportunities for customers visiting the dealership service drive. This role focuses on delivering a consultative sales experience, educating customers on the benefits of windshield repair, and maximizing glass service revenue through honest, customer-first interactions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in the service drive and conduct windshield/glass inspections on incoming vehicles.
• Identify chips, cracks, and damage eligible for repair or replacement and present findings professionally to customers.
• Educate customers on the value of prompt repair, insurance coverage options, and safety benefits.
• Upsell glass repair and replacement services in alignment with dealership pricing and policies.
• Coordinate with the service advisor team to ensure seamless customer handoffs and scheduling.
• Accurately document vehicle damage assessments and completed transactions.
• Meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs established by management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional presence in the service drive.
• Stay current on glass repair products, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Build rapport with repeat customers to foster loyalty and referrals.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Performance Metrics:

• Number of glass repairs/replacements sold per shift.
• Conversion rate (vehicles inspected vs. repairs sold).
• Customer satisfaction scores.
• Upsell attachment rate within the service drive.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, glass, customer service, or automotive service environment.
• Experience working with insurance companies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor service drive environment.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
• This position has no people leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in automotive glass sales or service.
• Familiarity with insurance claim processes for glass repair.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing in the service drive.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Frequent exposure to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to work in close proximity to moving vehicles in an active service lane environment.
