The primary responsibility of a United Brand Ambassador is to plan and execute brand development promotions to help gain distribution of United priority brands for beer, wine, and spirits. Brand Ambassadors help gain and execute the promotional arm of marketing for United and our suppliers in both the on and off premise accounts we service.Qualifications
Must be 21 years or older
High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent required
Ability to secure and maintain a State Alcohol Sales Permit in accordance with state laws
Sales experience in the food and drug industry preferred
Extensive knowledge of product
Restaurant/Bar/ industry experience preferred
Must be able to work some nights and weekends, and on some holidays
Valid driver’s license in the applicable state
State minimum auto-liability insurance
Acceptable driving record
Ability to maintain these minimum administrative driving requirements throughout employment

Responsibilities

Responsible for building and sustaining business relationships with key accounts in a given geographic area for key brands
Manage a targeted list of accounts and placements of key brands in each account
Collaborate with both the distributor (United) and the brand’s supplier
Coordinate with the supplier’s marketing efforts, distributor’s goals, and customer’s staff and consumers
Provide training to customer’s bar managers, bartenders, and staff on key brands
Conduct tastings with customers to assist sales representatives in selling in key brands
Visit accounts to set up programs to promote the brands
Provide to accounts branded POS, menus, glassware, etc.
Create custom cocktails for accounts depending on seasons, inventory, events, new flavors/items, etc.
Host dinners and events in accounts, festivals, events, etc.
Receive programming from management to implement and design programs in accounts
Organize consumer samplings and related events ranging in size, including but not limited to concerts, after parties, movie premieres, and other high-profile events
Survey competitive activity, inform senior managers and act upon information when necessary
Monitor brand movement, pricing and distribution penetration
Attend meetings with the distributors and suppliers to review brand wins, opportunities, and plans
Travel time required – approximately 35% of the position
Drive to all call points
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

Able to sit for extended periods of time, using computer keyboard, mouse, monitor, or calculator
Able to perform greater than average lifting (50-65 lbs)
Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
