BWMC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician II to join our healthcare team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to nursing staff on 7W, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical surgical unit.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration accurately.
• Support nursing staff with patient assessments and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Assist with mobility and positioning of patients to prevent complications such as pressure ulcers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests, providing timely and compassionate care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain clinical competencies.
