About this role

Overview

Under the direction of the Access Center Administrator, oversees the design, monitoring and maintenance of ambulatory capacity management functions across the physician practice. Collaborates with Access leadership, clinical and operational leadership and managers, as well as physicians/providers to identify and proactively mitigate issues that create barriers to ambulatory access and patient flow.
Responsibilities

• Establishes and provides oversight to the application of enterprise-wide template standards and guidelines and ensure effective maintenanceof scheduling guidelines.
• Offers guidance on best practices and opportunities to build schedules for optimal capacity according to guidelines and standards.
• Ensures that template capacity is adapted to meet organizational guidelines.
• Consistently reviews primary and specialty-wide templates and conducts service line reviews each 3-6 months with operations managers andleaders to ensure templates match demand, minimize barriers and promote patient access.
•Works collaboratively with clinic operations, access center and IT to ensure effective capacity management through template design.
• Demonstrates broad and comprehensive knowledge of patient access workflow and policies and the ability to incorporate national bestpractices in complex and/or unprecedented situations across multiple functional areas.
• Advises leadership to best practices and recommends solutions to drive alignment between technical and operational efficiency.
• Monitors applicable industry trends, novel and emerging solutions to drive continuous improvement opportunities.
• Actively promotes cross-team collaboration for change control and change management groups through staff and provider education andparticipation to engage all in customer oriented services and solutions.
• Promotes accountability between clinic operations and access services to proactively identify capacity opportunities and develop actionplans.
• All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Experience Requirements: 

 

5-8 years-Medical operations related to access and or clinical systems and capacity management -required
Strong computer and or system knowledge. Epic system knowledge preferred. Must obtain certification in Cadence within six months of hire. Demonstrated leadership skills or experience

 

 

Education Requirements: 

Bachelors Business Management or Healthcare Administration, or Health Science-required

or
Masters Business Management or Healthcare Administration, or Health Science -preferred

 

Additional Details:
5-8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree will be considered.

 

Certification/Licensure Requirements

Epic Certification Cadence required within 6 months
Epic Certification Cadence required or must pass within three (3) attempts to maintain employment

Travel Required up to 25%
