Overview
To deliver excellent patient centered service while providing information regarding services to patients, hospital, staff and community health care providers in a high volume call center environment. Perform intake triage, appointment scheduling referral processing, registration of new patients, and referral of patients to faculty physicians based on knowledge of administrative protocols and UF Health Physicians policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma with three (3) years of relevant experience; or
- Associate’s degree with one (1) year of relevant experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree with no additional experience required.
- A minimum of six (6) months of Access Center experience is required.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including experience using a variety of software applications and/or proprietary systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure, particularly when handling emergency, critical, or unusual situations.
- Ability to discuss financial matters with patients in a professional, respectful, and compassionate manner.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of patient focus while making appropriate assessments, evaluations, and decisions based on available information and sound judgment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Successfully complete the Customer Service Certification requirements in accordance with the UFJHI course schedule.
- Maintain Customer Service Certification through the required annual assessment.
