About Asurion

Asurion helps customers protect, connect, and enjoy their tech. We are a global company with operations across the U.S. and multiple international jurisdictions, and we are continuously modernizing how we deliver finance and tax through automation, data, and emerging technologies.

The Role

This role will play a key part in supporting U.S. international tax compliance and technical analysis, while helping the team continue its transformation through process improvement, automation, and the thoughtful use of technology (including AI‑enabled tools).

This role is ideal for someone with international tax experience, though strong U.S. tax compliance experience (including complex calculations and reporting) is also highly valued. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, partnering cross‑functionally, and applying tax technical knowledge to real‑world business activities.

This position may be based in Nashville, TN (relocation assistance available) or another U.S. location. Candidates based in Nashville and assigned to the office are expected to work onsite three days per week in alignment with Asurion’s hybrid work model.

  • Research and analyze U.S. and international tax issues and prepare clear, practical tax memoranda documenting conclusions and recommendations
  • Monitor U.S. and international tax legislative and regulatory developments and assess impacts to the company
  • Assist with tax planning and structuring for business initiatives, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other strategic transactions
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and audit‑ready documentation
  • Provide technical support for quarterly and annual income tax provision processes, including international components of the provision
  • Assist with transfer pricing compliance and documentation (e.g., CbCR, master file, local file), as applicable
  • Support responses to tax authority inquiries and audits, including income tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax matters
  • Contribute to the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of tax processes, controls, and data flows
  • Leverage and help enhance the automation platforms used by the tax team (e.g., compliance, provision, workflow, and data tools), including the practical application of analytics and AI‑enabled solutions
  • Assist with special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
  • Manage and develop members of the Philippines‑based tax team, including delegating work, reviewing deliverables, and collaborating effectively across time zones to meet deadlines

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

  • Successfully assumes ownership of key U.S. international tax compliance workstreams, with limited rework and strong audit support
  • Develops a working understanding of Asurion’s global legal entity structure, intercompany flows, and international tax profile
  • Becomes a trusted partner to Accounting and Finance during provision and compliance cycles
  • Produces clear, well‑documented tax analyses and memoranda that are practical and business‑focused
  • Identifies opportunities to improve or automate existing tax processes, controls, or data gathering
  • Demonstrates strong judgment, accountability, and collaboration in a fast‑moving, matrixed environment
