We are looking for a Software Expert to join an important Project located in Madrid, Spain in On site job modality.

Minimun requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
  • +10 years of experience in software development within critical environments (preferably embedded systems)
  • Proven experience providing technical leadership to software development teams in complex environments
  • Strong background in software architecture and system design.
  • Experience working under standards and formal models in critical systems (e.g., PECAL 2210, DO-178B/C or equivalent)
  • Experience managing the full software lifecycle (V-Model)
  • Strong technical leadership skills: decision-making, ability to manage uncertainty, and results-oriented mindset
  • Architectural vision and the ability to understand systems end-to-end (with a focus on software)

Nice to have

  • Experience in C/C++ development and/or other languages in critical environments
  • Experience with embedded systems and RTOS
  • Knowledge of secure software architectures (cybersecurity, hardening, isolation, etc.)
  • Experience in technical lifecycle reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, QR, etc.)
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Visure) and software traceability

What will be your responsabilities?

As a Software Expert, you will act as the technical reference in defining and evolving the system’s software architecture, ensuring its robustness, maintainability, and compliance with applicable standards throughout the entire lifecycle.
You will lead software development in high-security critical systems, in an environment where code quality, traceability, and reliability are key.

  • Define and evolve the system’s software architecture
  • Provide technical leadership to the software development team
  • Make key design decisions (frameworks, partitioning, communications, RTOS, etc.)
  • Ensure software quality across design, coding, testing, and documentation
  • Coordinate software development, integration, and validation with other disciplines (HW, Systems, V&V)
  • Manage the full software lifecycle (requirements → design → implementation → verification → certification)
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations applicable to critical software
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)
  • Act as the technical interface for software-related topics with clients and evaluators
  • Lead the resolution of complex software-related technical issues
  • Ensure traceability and consistency between software and system requirements
  • Promote best development practices (clean code, testing, automation, CI/CD)
