JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: 044A Laundry Opr 0002
Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm
Pay: $21.85/HR
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure the continuous flow of product throughout the manufacturing process. This position ensures the correct ingredients and supplies are utilized, monitors equipment performance, makes operational adjustments as needed, and supports safe, efficient production while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect laundry to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and folding equipment.
- Maintain an organized laundry area and ensure supplies are stocked and available.
- Follow proper handling procedures for soiled and clean laundry to prevent contamination.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to management.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, animal welfare (if applicable), and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records or documentation as required.
- Work effectively with team members and management to support operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Must be able and willing to:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts and materials as required.
- Ability to work in a warm, humid, and industrial environment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
