Senior Geologist -15 Years

Experience: Minimum 15 years

Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Geology or a closely related field

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive studies of water sources, aquifers, and their contribution to lakes and surrounding ecosystems based on available reports and field investigations.

Analyze and prepare detailed geological profiles of lakes, catchment areas, and associated landforms.

Assess the geological stability of landmasses within the project area using existing studies, surveys, and field data.

Develop and maintain inventories of land use patterns based on geological and stability assessments.

Identify geological hazards and recommend mitigation measures for unstable landforms in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including tourism development, environmental, social, infrastructure, and planning experts.

Engage with government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders to gather data and support project implementation.

Support the preparation of master plans by integrating geological considerations into land-use and infrastructure planning.

Work closely with the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.

Contribute to technical reports, presentations, maps, and documentation related to geological assessments.

Desired Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of hydrogeology, geomorphology, land stability analysis, and environmental geology.

Experience in GIS applications, geological mapping, and interpretation of geospatial data.

Knowledge of watershed management, aquifer studies, and sustainable resource planning.

Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Proven experience in handling at least two master planning projects is preferred.

Preferred Project Experience

Experience working on regional plans, master plans, tourism development projects, or environmental impact assessments.
