The salary range for this position is estimated to be 92,000.00 - 102,000.00 USD annualized.
Position Description: Perform Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Reality Capture tasks and maintain equipment needed for capturing digital representations of field conditions for use by VDC team members and in support of project deliverables. Reality Capture technologies and services covered may include laser scanning, point capture/layout, aerial (Drone/UAV) data and image capture, terrestrial data/image capture, robotic layout, thermal imaging, and ground penetrating radar.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Reality Capture tasks as directed and support team to deliver services for construction project and VDC team.
- Provide Reality Capture data to support team deliverables in support of VDC coordination and related engineering tasks.
- Operate assigned Reality Capture equipment to perform Reality Capture services and maintain equipment to ensure proper servicing and calibration.
- Maintain Reality Capture file management and document control.
- Read and understand construction plans, specifications, and other related documents to assist with reviews of Reality Capture processes to align with contracted requirements.
- Conduct review of drawings and submittals against captured data (e.g., scans) to identify discrepancies.
- Process and align captured data using required software and provide consumable deliverables to project teams.
- Perform field to model deviation analysis on work-in-place and report findings to project team.
- Provide progress reports and communicate status related to progression of Reality Capture tasks and schedule to Reality Capture and VDC teams.
- Verify site control, surveying workflows, and model-based layouts.
- Identify specified coordinates, align, and apply scans and data to support geographic and spatial project coordinate systems (e.g., latitude/longitude, state plane, GPS/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)) within project workflows.
- Learn about and assist with other VDC workflows including production tracking, mixed reality (VR/AR), facilities management, drawing creation (e.g., slab penetration, beam penetration), and pursuit modeling.
- Draft project Requests for Information (RFIs) related to conditions discovered and supported by Reality Capture data.
- Approach tasks collaboratively and foster professional relationships and communication with teammates, Trades, design partners, and clients.
- Understand and engage with Turner Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team to support project team’s compliance with company policy for Drone/Unmanned Arial Vehicle (UAV) use.
- Fully understand work instructions, jobsite signage, comply with safety protocols, and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
- Pursue opportunities to learn about construction and building methodologies to and contribute to continuous improvement team discussions.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
The salary range for
this position is estimated to be $92,000 - $102,000 annualized, which represents the
company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible
compensation at the time of posting. Additionally, Turner Construction

This is not a
remote/hybrid position and will be based in a Turner office or project
location.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program, or from a certificate program, in Surveying or related technical major, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of study, and minimum of 3 year of related experience, or in a related role, or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Able to read and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with ability to tailor communications to non-technical audiences
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic project and time management skills, able to manage competing demands, and request prioritization of tasks to meet commitments and deadlines
- Able to produce work and collaborate with others using online collaboration tools, and manage multiple communication workstreams
- Able to work independently with direction and in team environment
- Proficient in computer applications, Microsoft Office suite of applications required, and functional knowledge of Reality Capture related BIM based computer applications (e.g., Autodesk Civil3D, Revit, ReCap Pro, Point Layout, and Navisworks Manage)
- Continuous learner, eager to learn and participate
- Operational knowledge of laser scan processing applications
- Regular travel
