Pipeline Integrity Technician

About this role

This role requires significant travel across the continental United States. Technicians are expected to be on the road consistently.


 PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Obtain project assignments from Project Crew Lead.
  • Be available to work at assigned schedule times with all required personal protective equipment (PPE), and equipment in working order.
  • Perform project assignments in accordance with all TIR procedures, safety policies, and in a professional manner.
  • Complete weekly time reporting by Sunday at noon CT.
  • Treat work equipment and materials with care to prevent damage.
  • Assist in tracking in-line inspection tools using geophone, 22Hz receivers, and Hz, and AGM marker boxes, staking AGMs.
  • When not assigned to a project, communicate with Supervisor and/or TIR Scheduling personnel on a regular basis.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • No minimum experience (On the job training).
  • NCCER OQ Training.
  • Knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS
External – Work is normally performed in a field environment with exposure to various weather conditions (100%).


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at moderate skill level.
