Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete project billing process for transportation engineering projects.
- Partner with Project Managers to support the financial management and billing of a diverse portfolio of transportation projects.
- Help maintain financial accuracy across DOT, Turnpike Authority, township, design, structural, and construction management projects.
- Process invoices and maintain billing schedules.
- Review timesheets and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform credit card reconciliation and other monthly accounting activities.
- Generate monthly revenue reports and support project financial reporting.
- Monitor job costs against budget and collections to determine project status.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting or project billing experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry.
- Experience with project billing and invoicing.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Experience reviewing employee timesheets and expense reports.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
- Experience using Deltek VantagePoint.
- Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience supporting engineering or professional services firms.
