The Role
We are seeking a Resident Caretaker to support the day-to-day operations of a residential rental property in New Westminster. This hands-on role combines property administration, building maintenance, resident service, and contractor coordination to ensure the property is well-maintained and professionally managed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of common areas, turnover suites, and exterior grounds.
Complete minor maintenance and repair work, including basic plumbing and building upkeep.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, service providers, and maintenance vendors.
Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and support resident onboarding processes.
Collect and record rent payments and maintain accurate resident and property records.
Prepare incident reports, building reports, and other required documentation.
Monitor building safety and assist with fire code and regulatory compliance requirements.
Respond to resident inquiries and work collaboratively with the Property Manager to address concerns.
Participate in on-call emergency response as required.
Provide support with other property operations as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of caretaking, building maintenance, or property management experience.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
Must be able to work on-site in New Westminster. This is not a remote position.
