Works Support Officer - Narrandera - 10 Month Temporary Opportunity

In this role, you'll:
Be responsible for undertaking a range of project support activities to support the section’s line management and project delivery staff in order to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of scheduled works.
The Works Support Officer will also be responsible for:
• Providing contract administration support by preparing contract documentation, coordinating tender processes, and managing contract records and activities.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of maintenance and project works by preparing work plans, conducting asset inspections, maintaining facilities, and responding to customer and community enquiries.
• Collecting, analysing, and reporting project and operational data by maintaining accurate records, using database management systems, and preparing reports to support informed decision-making.
• Advising team members on administrative and procedural matters while coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and customers to support day-to-day operations and resource planning.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by maintaining Quality, WHS, and Environmental Management Systems, supporting audits and compliance activities, and assisting with workplace improvement initiatives and resource procurement.
This is a fixed-term full-time role (up to 30 June 2027) located at Narrandera.
TfNSW take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously therefore to be eligible for this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a reasonable distance from the Narrandera Depot.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have strong problem solving and organisational skills with the ability to be flexible, meet deadlines within short time frames and to manage changing priorities.
You’ll need to have well-developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders working in an onsite team environment, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and confident manner.
You have a demonstrated background in projects administration, and you are comfortable at providing a wide range of procedural and procurement support.
You have excellent attention to detail and are proficient in the use of Excel and preferably Asset Vision.
To be considered for this you it is essential that you possess a current motor vehicle driver licence and be available to work outside normal working hours or to travel on occasion.
