In this role, you'll:

 


Play a key part in maintaining and improving road infrastructure across regional New South Wales. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will undertake a variety of hands-on construction and maintenance activities that help keep our roads safe, reliable, and efficient for the community.
 

 


Key responsibilities include:
 


• Carrying out road construction, snow clearing and maintenance works across the network.


• Maintaining and improving road pavements, drainage systems, road furniture, and signage.


• Supporting the construction of new and upgraded road infrastructure.


• Operating in a safety-focused outdoor environment as part of a collaborative team.


• Snow Clearing activities during the winter period, including participating in call-outs and weekend work when required.

• A 9-day fortnight, working Monday to Friday with every second Monday off.

About you


You bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude gained through work, study, volunteering, or life experience.

 

You thrive in a hands-on environment and are flexible, safety-conscious, and ready to take on physically demanding work.
 

You’re a team player who takes pride in delivering quality outcomes, works safely and efficiently, and is eager to learn and develop new skills. While previous road construction or labouring experience is advantageous, it is not essential, we're looking for people with the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to contribute. Essential Requirements
 


• A current Construction Industry White Card.


• A current Class C Driver Licence (minimum P1).


• The ability and willingness to obtain Traffic Controller accreditation within three months of commencement.


• A residential address within 100 km driving distance of the Dubbo Works Depot.


• A willingness to work outside normal business hours, attend call-outs, travel across the district, and stay away from home when operationally required.
