Requirements, Assurance & Traceability Analyst
About this role
You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Support the development and management of project requirements across the Sydney Integration pipeline. You’ll help ensure requirements are clearly defined, well documented, and aligned with the strategic objectives.
You’ll work with project teams and stakeholders to capture and organise requirements, maintain traceability between objectives and proposed options, and support assurance activities that confirm information is complete, feasible and consistent.
Your work will help create a clear line of sight between strategic priorities and the requirements used to shape and assess potential project options and designs.
You’ll also support the monitoring of requirement changes and their impacts on scope, cost, timing and benefits, as well as situations where cost or delivery constraints require trade-offs between project scope and intended outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Facilitating the capture, documentation, and approval of project requirements to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Maintaining traceability frameworks that link requirements to outcomes, benefits and delivery milestones.
• Supporting assurance reviews to verify completeness, feasibility and strategic alignment of requirements.
• Monitoring and assessing the impacts of requirement changes on cost, schedule, risk and benefits.
• Developing and maintaining requirements management tools, templates and dashboards.
• Providing insights to governance forums on compliance, gaps and risks related to requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Sydney Integration projects.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to embed consistent standards and processes.

You bring a structured, analytical approach and can navigate trade-offs between scope, cost, timing and outcomes, helping teams make informed decisions about what’s achievable.
You communicate clearly, build trust across diverse teams, and help others understand how requirements link to real-world results.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Demonstrated experience in requirements management and assurance within large, complex projects or programs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to link requirements to measurable outcomes.
