In this role, you'll:

 

Working as part of a team delivering safe, high-quality road pavement finishing across NSW's regional road network, you'll trim and finish to tight tolerances whilst guiding team members to develop capability and achieve work goals effectively.

 

You'll work under limited supervision in a dynamic construction environment, bringing your expertise across road maintenance and construction projects whilst contributing to continuous improvement and delivering the precision finishes that connect NSW communities.

About you:

 

We're seeking a seasoned Finishing Grader Operator who's meticulous, team-oriented, and ready to deliver precision work that matters. You have:

 

  • Extensive experience in road construction and maintenance, particularly levelling and trimming processes.
  • Experience operating grading plant safely to tight tolerances, confident reading levels and performing quality checks,
  • Comfortable using advanced technologies like Topcon GPS to maximise efficiency.
  • Take pride in your work and enjoy solving problems on the job!

 

What you'll need:

  • Valid and current Driver's licence (interstate applicants must be willing and able to transfer license to NSW if relocating)
  • Demonstrated ability to trim and finish road pavements to tight tolerances
  • White Card
  • MR licence or above (desirable)
  • Experience with Caterpillar 140M Graders (desirable)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on major Government Road and pavement widening projects across regional NSW that will benefit the community.

 

Work Location

This role must be based from the advertised location. Relocation assistance will be considered for the appropriate candidate. We particularly welcome interstate applicants across Australia as well as regionally based in the Hay, Narrandera, Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Deniliquin areas.

 

Remuneration

 

This role is classified as Finishing Grader Operator - Pay Point 10.

38-hour week and 9-day fortnights with additional paid entitlements such as penalty rates for reasonable overtime and travel allowances apply in accordance with the relevant award. This includes living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA).
