You'll play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability, availability, and efficiency through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. • Conducting equipment inspections and condition assessments.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments.

  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies.

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter Trade Test (Red Seal).

  • N3/N4 or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous).

  • Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, facilities, rail, automotive, mining, or heavy engineering environments (minimum of 5 years).

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM).

  • Practical experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

  • Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tools like vernier callipers, micrometres, and alignment equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and P&IDs.

  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

  • Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements, including Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Permit-to-Work systems, and risk assessments.
