About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

We play a crucial role in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to millions of Australians. Operating over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, we connect electricity generators to the distribution network powering homes, businesses, and communities. As Australia accelerates its energy transition, the work we do has never been more significant.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering one of Australia's most significant energy transition programs.

As Transgrid continues to expand its network to support Australia's clean energy future, we're looking for an experienced Land & Property Manager to join our Strategic Land & Property Solutions team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Land & Property, you'll lead the delivery of land and property activities across major infrastructure projects, from early project planning through to approvals, construction and compliance. You'll be responsible for developing land access strategies, managing property acquisition activities, and ensuring land-related outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with legislative requirements.

Working closely with project teams, landowners, government agencies, legal advisors, Indigenous engagement teams and external stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of nationally significant transmission infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of land access strategies, including coordinating field activities and ensuring all works are undertaken safely and efficiently.
  • Manage land acquisition and compulsory acquisition processes, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with project teams, land agents, community stakeholders, Indigenous engagement teams and legal advisors to achieve positive property outcomes.
  • Oversee the administration of land information, policies and property governance frameworks.
  • Deliver land and property outcomes on time, within budget and aligned to project objectives.

About You

You're an experienced property professional with a strong background in land access and acquisition for major infrastructure projects. You combine commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills and thrive in complex, project-driven environments.

You'll also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Valuation, Planning or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in land and property management, ideally within major infrastructure, utilities or government projects.
  • Extensive experience negotiating land access and managing compulsory acquisition processes.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth legislation, regulatory frameworks and approval processes relating to land access, property acquisition and planning.
  • Demonstrated project management experience delivering complex property outcomes across large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams of property professionals and technical specialists.

This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in a purpose-driven organisation, working alongside industry experts to deliver the critical infrastructure that will power Australia's clean energy future.
