Job Responsibilities

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Voice Technician to support the USMTM CITS contract in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Voice Technician installs, provisions, administers, monitors, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and sustains enterprise VoIP, analog, and long-haul voice services supporting daily and contingency operations.

  • Administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager or other Government-approved enterprise telephony platforms.
  • Configure dial plans, partitions, calling search spaces, route and translation patterns, hunt groups, call-routing policies, and numbering plans.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP phones, gateways, analog adapters, media resources, voicemail, and related hardware.
  • Maintain approved software, firmware, security patches, configuration backups, and restoration records.
  • Support analog lines, main distribution frame interfaces, long-haul VoIP, and approved morale-and-welfare calling services.
  • Monitor call processing, registrations, trunks, gateways, alarms, health, and service availability.
  • Troubleshoot latency, jitter, packet loss, echo, codecs, registration, signaling, routing, and voice-quality issues.
  • Coordinate with Network Administrators on Quality of Service and support SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP, or other approved protocols.
  • Coordinate with DISA, USARCENT, CENTCOM, NETCOM, commercial carriers, service providers, and higher headquarters.
  • Support circuit and equipment installation, bandwidth planning, alternate transport, infrastructure expansion, office moves, and technology refreshes.
  • Coordinate with OSP/ISP, Systems, VTC, Desktop, and Cybersecurity personnel on physical-layer and cross-functional issues.
  • Maintain dial plans, diagrams, inventories, circuit records, configurations, user instructions, and restoration procedures.
  • Support STIGs, vulnerability remediation, logging, patching, continuity, failover, disaster recovery, and alternate communications.
  • Respond to mission-critical outages and participate in CCB, maintenance windows, Authorized Service Interruptions, emergency recall, and on-call support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements: US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must meet the applicable DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the assigned work role. DoD 8140 Work Role(s): 451 – System Administrator, Proficiency Level: Intermediate; and may qualify through education, military training, certifications, or a combination thereof.

  • Qualifying credentials include a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering or completion of relevant military communications or network training.

  • Qualifying certifications may include Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, or other DoD 8140-approved certifications. Higher proficiency-level or equivalent DoD 8140-approved certifications applicable to the assigned work role may also be accepted.  

  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible enterprise voice or unified communications experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager or a comparable enterprise telephony platform.
  • Experience with VoIP call routing, dial plans, gateways, endpoints, analog interfaces, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Quality of Service, voice protocols, and telecommunications documentation.
  • Experience maintaining detailed technical, restoration, and continuity documentation.
  • Ability to relocate to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Desired Qualification

  • CCNA certification; Cisco collaboration certification, including CCNP Collaboration, desired.
  • Experience supporting classified DoD, Army, CENTCOM, USARCENT, NETCOM, or DISA voice environments.
  • Experience with CUCM, Unity Connection, gateways, SIP trunks, emergency calling, QoS, analog telephony, MDF/IDF, and carrier circuits.
  • Experience implementing STIGs, patching, and RMF controls.
  • Prior overseas, contingency, or military telecommunications experience.
