This position is pending contract award.


Job Responsibilities

The Facility Manager supports USSOCOM by ensuring that all command facilities—administrative, operational, training, and secure environments—are maintained, functional, and compliant with DoD standards. This role coordinates maintenance, construction, space planning, and infrastructure support to enable mission readiness.  The Facility Manager manages and maintains active contracts and support to include building and facility cleaning, grounds security, grounds maintenance, fire, electrical, power, generator, and HVAC, inspections and facilities management and coordinate with and through the TPOC for required expendables, inspections, or corrective actions at Pope and DP-25 Relays. This contractor shall support Horn of Africa (HOA) equipment, materials, and repairs in support of site ISR activities (coordinating with subcontractors as needed for this specialized system maintenance).

 

The Facility Manager will also act as the onsite Visit Access Request administrator, ensuring that all personnel working on the site are properly cleared by way of applicable government approval (e.g. AFSOC visitors will have A6 approval), have the applicable badge access, and understand the security procedures of being onsite. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repair of SOCOM buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with base/installation support (e.g., Fort Bragg civil engineering squadron) for scheduled and emergency maintenance.
  • Manage facility service contracts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, custodial, and other critical systems.
  • Execute space planning and office layout changes to support evolving mission needs.
  • Track and report facility issues, work orders, and project status.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with DoD, federal, state, and local regulations (including safety, security, accessibility, and environmental standards).
  • Support planning and execution of construction, renovation, and modernization projects.
  • Maintain facility-related documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate facility access, physical security measures, and badging requirements in secure/SCIF spaces (working with security personnel).
  • Assist with budget planning, cost estimates, and resource allocation for facility operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related concerns from SOCOM personnel, contractors, and mission partners.
  • Maintenance records, warranties and receipts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience in facility management, civil engineering, or building operations (preferably within DoD or federal agencies).
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire protection).
  • Familiarity with DoD construction standards, UFC/UFGS, anti-terrorism/force protection requirements, and SCIF facility guidelines.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage service contracts and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting special operations or high-security facilities.
  • Ability to travel worldwide, including to remote or austere locations.

Desired Qualification

  • Experience supporting SOCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM, TRANSCOM, Space Force, or other Combatant Command environments.
  • Experience supporting OCONUS operations and remote-site sustainment activities.
  • Prior military service or experience supporting DOD customers.

  • High School Diploma
