As a Project Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day leasing operations at our residential rental community, Abode, located in Vancouver. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, leading suite tours, managing prospect follow-up, and guiding applicants through the leasing process from inquiry to move-in.

In addition to delivering an exceptional customer experience, you will support the overall success of the leasing program through lead management, market awareness, administrative coordination, and ongoing communication with residents and internal teams. The ideal candidate is customer-service driven, highly organized, sales-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where relationship building and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Property Tours and Showings: 
    • Schedule and conduct property tours for interested parties. 
    • Highlight property features and amenities during tours. 
    • Follow up with prospective tenants to answer questions and address concerns 
  • Marketing and Advertising: 
    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants. 
    • Create compelling property listings for various online platforms and print materials. 
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure consistency in branding and messaging. 
  • Prospect/Applicant Correspondence and Communication: 
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospect and applicant inquiries and requests, during the leasing process 
    • Respond to phone calls, emails, and written correspondence promptly and professionally. 
    • Communicate lease-related information to prospective and incoming residents, including deposits, tenant insurance requirements, move-in inspections, and elevator booking procedures.
  • Lease Documentation and Processing: 
  • Prepare lease agreements, addendums, and other leasing documents accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Review lease terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. 
  • Coordinate lease signings and ensure all required signatures and documents are obtained. 
  • Tenant Screening and Application Processing: 
    • Process rental applications and conduct background and credit checks. 
    • Communicate leasing requirements and procedures to prospective tenants. 
  • Database Management and Recordkeeping: 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lease agreements, tenant information, and property inventory. 
    • Input data into property management software systems and ensure data integrity. 
    • Generate reports and analyze leasing trends to support decision-making processes. 
    • Coordinate with leasing team members to facilitate the approval process for new tenants. 
  • Property Tours and Showings: 
    • Schedule and conduct property tours for interested parties. 
    • Highlight property features and amenities during tours. 
    • Follow up with prospective tenants to answer questions and address concerns. 
  • Administrative Support: 
    • Assist leasing team with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents. 
    • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the leasing department. 


Academic, technical and professional competence: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Sales and/or hospitality-based education or work experience 


Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Proven experience in leasing or property management role, ideally 1-3 years in a large scale and/or newly built community 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Proficiency in property management software (Yardi suite of programs) and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Polite, professional, cooperative personality and willingness to assist others; 
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and demands while remaining calm; 
  • A proactive sales mindset with a dedication to maintaining a low vacancy rate; 
  • Ability to take directions and to follow through on assigned work in a timely manner; and 
  • Maturity, confidence and tact, particularly when dealing with difficult issues or conflicts.
