Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be part of the EMEA North service team and will report to the Field Service Team leader. With "Safety first" mindset throughout the daily work both at company and our customer sites you will:
- Install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits.
- Support customers with training and best practices for daily machine operation.
- Document service activities and provide clear feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across service, engineering, and sales to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
Qualifications
- Mechanical education (Requires secondary education diploma, preferably a subject-specific diploma) or proven practical experience in a mechanical field service role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Field Service Engineer
- Solid hands-on experience with mechanical systems (e.g., pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating equipment).
- A solid understanding of electrical systems and controls is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments and adapting to customer needs on-site.
- Independent, solution-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Good command of English (other languages are a plus).
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willing to travel abroad for at least 80% of the time in EMEA, based on a flexible schedule. This means it could be also during weekends or in holiday seasons.
