Job DetailsJob Location: Fort Worth - Fort Worth, TX 76111Position Type: Full TimeSummary: TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full time experienced Shop Manager for the Fort Worth Branch. The Shop Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, preventative maintenance, customer service, safety, training, inventory and P&L for a service work load branch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Forecast daily service work-load
Assign work to crane mechanics, technicians, and shop support personnel
Plan work to be done on a weekly, day and shift basis through the development of accurate estimates, and follow up on work assignments
Understanding and implementation of TNT Safety and Shop Procedures
Identify variances and establish recovery plans
Provide positive and constructive feedback to subordinates and peers
Assume primary P&L responsibility for branch service operations
Responsible for hiring, directing and training shop personnel
Open work-orders, open and maintain purchase order systems
Confer with vendors as to availability of goods, prices, deliveries, discounts and changes in supplies, materials and equipment offered for sale.
Develop and implement current and improved systems and procedures in accordance with company policies for safety, operations, sales and administrative functions.
Conduct inventory in shops and maintain accuracy in ordering, receiving, usage and adjustments to inventory.
Assist in the training and development of staff and management in maintenance system areas
Maintain records and prepare reports
Knowledge of cranes and their transport equipment including designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Motivating people to contribute a full day's work for a day's pay
Troubleshooting shop maintenance management systems
Monitoring system operations and identifying out-of-parameter delivery
Review problems and associated information, develop and implement corrective actions
Assign work to individuals and team with expectations for safety, quality, on time delivery and productivity
Perform related duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications
• High School diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of shop/maintenance experience in required, and previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
Skills Required
• Ability to interpret, read, write, and type reports.
• Ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and technology and knowledge of local motor vehicle laws, OSHA, CDL, DOT and other pertinent regulatory requirements.
• Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.
