TMPC is seeking a FOIA Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals.

As a FOIA Analyst duties include but are not limited to

  • Process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and DoD policies.
  • Review records to determine responsiveness and identify information requiring withholding under applicable FOIA exemptions.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and government stakeholders to collect, review, and process responsive records.
  • Prepare redacted documents and ensure accurate application of FOIA exemptions and privacy protections.
  • Draft response letters, maintain case files, and document all FOIA processing activities.
  • Track request status, meet statutory deadlines, and provide timely updates to government personnel.
  • Support appeals, litigation, and administrative reviews by maintaining complete and accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with FOIA, the Privacy Act, and agency-specific guidance.



Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience processing FOIA requests for a federal agency or DoD organization.
  • Working knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and applicable DoD and federal regulations.
  • Experience reviewing sensitive records and applying FOIA exemptions and redactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records/document management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills



This is a contingent hire tied to contract award. Selected candidates will be named in the proposal and asked to sign a Letter of Commitment.
