About the Position

We are in search of a dynamic and meticulous professional to supervise Hallmarking Operations and Purity Assurance tasks for the West Region. The role entails ensuring compliance with BIS standards, maintaining excellence in hallmarking procedures, verifying purity, conducting vendor audits, and confirming material authenticity while upholding the quality standards and brand commitments of Tanishq.

Hallmarking Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end hallmarking operations and capacity planning with Hallmarking Centre (HMC) partners.
  • Guarantee 100% BIS compliance through process and product surveillance audits.
  • Conduct audits on processes and drive the resolution of identified gaps.
  • Perform HUID verification and audits on outgoing products.
  • Maintain material accountability and conduct inventory audits.
  • Lead continuous enhancement in HMC performance, quality, and turnaround time.

Material Authenticity Verification

  • Verify product net weight and diamond quality parameters against system records.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure material accountability.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to product specifications and stock.

Vendor Quality & Process Excellence

  • Carry out periodic process audits across vendor locations.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for purity-related issues.
  • Identify potential failure modes and apply preventive actions.
  • Isolate and control suspect materials to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the development of capabilities and quality awareness at supplier locations.

Work Experience
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the Jewelry Production Industry.
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Expertise in Gold purity analysis- XRF testing, Fire assay & Gravimatiric methods
  • Familiarity with ISO & IS standards and thorough understanding of Management system implementation
  • Systematic problem-solving using the appropriate 7 QC tools
  • Proficient in MS Office applications & Oracle ERP systems
