About this role

Job Requirements

Category & Inventory Analytics

· Analyse product and category performance — looking at sales trends, sell-through rates, ageing stock, and inventory value.

· Identify slow-moving products and recommend practical actions such as range rationalisation, stock reallocation, or clearance.

· Track the impact of festivals, seasons, and promotions on sales and margins.

· Support demand planning and forecasting to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

· Help translate sales targets into store-level plans based on category potential.

· Analyse pricing effectiveness and model discount and offer strategies — balancing customer appeal with margin protection.

· Benchmark pricing and promotional practices against competitors to stay market relevant.

· Review commercial arrangements with franchise partners and identify cost optimisation opportunities.

· Track margin flow across the value chain — from sourcing to store — and flag areas for improvement.

Customer Insights

· Use data to understand who our customers are, what they buy, what they buy together, and what encourages them to purchase.

· Segment customers based on their preferences, spending patterns, and response to offers.

· Combine customer, product, geography, and time data to generate insights that feed directly into business decisions on retention, assortment, and promotions.

Dashboards, Reporting & Digital Initiatives

· Build and maintain dashboards that give teams a clear, up-to-date view of category performance, inventory health, and key business metrics.

· Support the business in moving to newer, more efficient reporting systems — tracking adoption and measuring impact.

· Take on ad-hoc analysis projects as and when the business needs fresh perspectives on emerging trends or risks.

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP or point-of-sale systems is a plus.
  • Able to simplify complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
