The Security manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Global Protection initiatives focused on the protection of employees, physical and inventory assets and customers for all locations within South Asia Pacific. Provide security expertise to all leadership within geographic area so that the organization will achieve the highest level of security, safety, brand integrity, and company profitability. The scope of the role will cover and include all Retail, Offices, Laurelton Diamonds, Logistics, and Industrial, within South Asia Pacific.

 

Responsibilities

Mitigate Risk

  • Maintain established “Hard Target” standards, physical security measures, and company shrink through security reviews identifying areas of vulnerability and ensuring a high level of security awareness and consistency for all locations
  • Incident and Crisis Management:
    • Building the business resilience capability with Global Crisis Management Team 
    • Work with Market/Retail stakeholders in incident response for emergency situation
    • Responsible for ensuring that all locations are prepared for and can respond to all major catastrophes through the company Incident Management Program
    • Incident Management Team leader for geographical area of responsibility during major catastrophes
  • Proactive in managing new store openings and renovation through:
    • Collaboration with global protection leadership to determine risk level for new locations
    • Collaboration with technical services to ensure proper physical security standards are designed and implemented to reduce risk and meet established standards
    • Conduct on site new store employee training and new hire training
    • In conjunction with secured transportation, coordinate High Value Merchandise delivery.
  • Proactively conduct preventative training and risk assessment in store around but not limited to: safeguarding assets, cash counting, opening and closing procedures, personal conveyance etc.


Investigations

  • Responsible for all internal and external investigations for locations in your area of geographic responsibility
  • Ensure that all investigations, interviews and interrogations are handled lawfully and timely
  • Liaise with Corporate Security on all investigations ensuring proper communication, documentation, and follow-up
  • Develop and train Zone management & Industrial on Global Protection policies/procedures


Brand Integrity 

  • Ensure the security and safety of high-end special events and significant transport of high value product
  • Ensure that all security professionals and contract guards represent the brand consistently with the standards established by Global Protection
  • Ensure that front door coverage is maintained pursuant to corporate security established guidelines
  • Work with Trademark Enforcement and provide local input on issues
  • Collaborate with company training networks to develop and implement applicable training material that will promote and enhance the brand
     

Qualifications

  • 10 years related experience
  • 8 years job related experience in investigations
  • Ability to develop and maintain credible relationships with law enforcement and governmental agencies
  • 30% overnight travel
  • Flexible schedule
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Highest level of integrity
  • High degree of experience in all phases of security systems, procedures, investigations legal issues, supervision and training
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills and executive presence
     

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Or similar international degree)
  • Law Enforcement/Military
  • Fluent in English (Written and Spoken)
