Waste Water Technician
About this role
- Operate the waste treatment system and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Fills out all mandatory State and Federal reports.
- Running of the wastewater treatment facility and compliance with the National Pollutant.
- Discharge Elimination System [NPDES] permit.
- Perform and record Titration result for process equipment.
- Coolant adds to production equipment.
- Help with additions to process equipment.
- Help with the removal of waste in facility.
- New incoming chemicals organized, and current logs filled out & keeping MSDS database current.
- Holds a class K certificate.
- EPA Training on Toxic Release Inventory TRI report.
- Understanding Issues in Storm Water Regulations.
- RCRA training on disposal of hazardous materials.
- Understand NPDES permit requirements.
- DOT training.
- Basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to water treatment room.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read applicable instructions.
