Field Technician
About this role
We’re seeking a skilled Service Technician I with strong plumbing, mechanical, and waste system experience to help keep our Thrones clean, safe, and operational. You’ll diagnose and repair issues in the field, perform regular maintenance, and support improvements to water, waste, and pump systems.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in problem-solving, and has hands-on experience with plumbing systems, electrical work, or construction basics. Must be comfortable working with human waste systems.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, mechanical, or structural issues across Throne units in the field.
- Perform routine maintenance on water, pump, and electrical systems, ensuring all units operate safely and efficiently.
- Replace and repair components such as valves, fittings, tanks, hoses, seals, toilets, and faucets.
- Inspect and service pumps, lines, wires, and sensors related to waste management and water flow.
- Complete minor electrical work as needed (resetting breakers, replacing components, testing voltage).
- Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and design teams to share field insights and suggest improvements.
What You’ll BringRequired
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plumbing, mechanical maintenance, or electrical work
- Proficiency using plumbing tools and materials safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify and fix issues with pumps, valves, fittings, and water systems.
- Experience with basic electrical testing (continuity, voltage) and safe handling of low-voltage systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Nice to have
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- Certification or license in plumbing, electrical, or related field.
- Experience with portable sanitation or RV waste systems.
- Familiarity with smart technology or IoT-enabled equipment.
- California OSHA-compliant forklift certification.
