Working in the Three Ireland Fraud & Credit Risk team, the Senior Risk & Insights Partner will provide specialist expertise across fraud and credit risk systems, data, analytics and risk decisioning.
The role will support the development of risk data capabilities, systems and roadmaps, using data, technology and commercial insight to provide input into risk strategy, improve customer outcomes, support profitable growth and minimise fraud losses, bad debt and credit risk exposure.
As a recognised subject matter expert, you will work across Fraud & Credit Risk and the wider business to identify complex risks and opportunities, develop innovative data-driven solutions and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. You will provide expert insight to senior stakeholders and delivery teams, supporting decision-making and helping ensure risk capabilities evolve in line with customer, commercial and regulatory needs.

What else it involves:

  • Support the evolution of fraud and credit risk systems, data models, reporting and risk decisioning capabilities, ensuring they support current and future business needs.
  • Lead the identification of gaps, risks and opportunities across the fraud and credit risk data ecosystem and support the development of effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Own and develop KPI, MI and reporting suites covering fraud losses, bad debt, credit risk performance, customer outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Lead complex analysis to identify trends, drivers, emerging risks and opportunities across fraud, credit and customer risk, translating findings into clear recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Provide input into fraud and credit risk systems and data capability roadmaps, including the development and implementation of new digital fraud prevention and risk decisioning solutions.
  • Act as a trusted expert and partner to Fraud & Credit Risk, Commercial, Customer Care, Technology, Digital, Data and other business teams.
  • Provide expert advice and challenge to senior stakeholders, balancing customer experience, commercial objectives, risk appetite and financial outcomes.
  • Lead and support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across fraud and credit risk, working collaboratively through Three’s Agile ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, data quality and decisioning to strengthen risk outcomes, reduce losses and improve customer experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across risk data, analytics and decisioning, sharing knowledge and building capability across relevant teams.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues, supporting the development of analytical, risk and data capability across the organisation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging fraud, credit risk, data, AI and technology trends and assess their potential impact on Three’s risk environment and customer proposition.
  • Ensure solutions and recommendations are appropriately informed by relevant regulatory, governance, data protection and risk requirements.
  • Provide insight and evidence to support prioritisation and investment decisions, including consideration of risk, customer and commercial impact.
  • Lead or contribute to projects where specialist fraud, credit risk, data or analytical expertise is required.

The skills we are looking for:

  • Expert-level experience in data modelling, advanced analytics, machine learning and/or AI within a fraud, credit risk or related risk environment.
  • Recognised subject matter expertise in fraud prevention, credit risk, customer risk, risk decisioning and/or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of fraud and credit risk data, systems, models and decisioning frameworks, with the ability to connect technical capability to business and customer outcomes.
  • Proven experience of leading complex problems and developing innovative, data-driven solutions in a complex or changing environment.
  • Good understanding of commercial considerations and their impact on risk decisions.
  • Proven ability to provide insight and expert advice that supports strategy, roadmaps and priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge, advise and influence senior stakeholders and peers.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Leadership, mentoring and coaching experience, with a track record of developing capability and sharing expertise.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against agreed priorities and roadmaps.
  • Ability to translate complex data, analysis and technical concepts into clear, concise and actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and contributing to cross-functional squads, initiatives and continuous improvement is desirable.
  • Experience with SAS, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI or similar analytical and data technologies would be an advantage.
  • Strong awareness of relevant risk, regulatory, data protection and governance requirements.

What success looks like:

  • Fraud and credit risk decisions are increasingly informed by high-quality data, insight and effective risk decisioning.
  • Risk data, systems and analytical capabilities evolve in line with Three’s customer, commercial and risk priorities.
  • Improved visibility of fraud losses, bad debt, credit risk exposure and customer outcomes through effective MI and insight.
  • Complex risk issues are identified early and translated into practical, commercially sound recommendations.
