About the Role:
As Director of Production, based in New York City, you will bring your vision and leadership to client-facing events across North America and Europe. This role blends artistic vision with operational excellence, ensuring that every production reflects the agency’s reputation for innovation, flawless execution, and memorable guest experiences.
You will work independently and collaboratively with creative and technical teams and senior leadership to oversee end-to-end execution of high-impact luxury experiences that elevate brand equity, drive client engagement, and generate business results.
Reporting directly to the US Managing Director, you will be responsible for building scalable frameworks for planning, briefing, executing, and recapping all client events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute large-scale event concepts, including runway shows, presentations, VIP galas, and brand activations.
Serve as the agency’s primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance and maintaining strong relationships.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure creative vision aligns with client objectives and brand identity.
Build project plans and timelines for each project, managing stakeholders, deliverables, and resources across functions and regions
Production Oversight
Lead the full lifecycle of client-facing and brand-building events, from brief creation and timeline development through to on-site execution and post-event closure
Partner with creative directors and designers to translate fashion concepts into immersive event experiences.
Draft all communications related to events, including briefs, written summaries, client invitations, and event recaps, demonstrating a strong command of tone and brand voice
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and logistical requirements.
Budget and Vendor Management
Serve as the key decision-maker for all event planning and vendor partnerships, managing high-end luxury resources and negotiating with best-in-class external partners
Negotiate contracts with venues, vendors, and talent while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Own and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maximizing impact, and contribute to forecast planning and revenue reporting
Client Collaboration & Industry Insight
Partner closely with clients to understand their creative vision, brand identity, and event goals, translating them into compelling, production-ready concepts.
Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the planning and execution process, ensuring clients feel supported, heard, and inspired.
Anticipate client needs and proactively provide solutions that elevate the overall experience.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in fashion, event production, and experiential design, integrating fresh ideas and technologies into projects.
Continuously research and implement best practices to ensure every event feels innovative, relevant, and impactful.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
Proven track record of producing large-scale fashion shows or high-profile events.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse creative and production teams.
Skilled in budgeting, project management, luxury vendor sourcing, and working independently with regional and global stakeholders
You thrive when owning a project end-to-end and excel in fast-paced, high-touch environments
You are confident navigating both internal corporate teams and external luxury clients and partners
You are a seasoned international traveller, available to be onsite to support regional teams and accompany client trips
Compensation
The compensation for this role is $150,000 to $165,000 annually
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
